- 2 shots espresso
- 2 tbsp toasted marshmallow syrup
- ¾ cup milk
- ice if making an iced latte
- toasted marshmallow cold foam optional topping
- marshmallows for garnish optional
Brew two shots of espresso directly into a large mug.
Add the toasted marshmallow syrup while the espresso is hot. Stir thoroughly until the syrup is completely combined with the coffee.
For a hot latte: Pour the milk into a small saucepan and heat over medium-low heat until steaming but not boiling. Froth the warm milk with a handheld milk frother or steam it with an espresso machine steam wand. Slowly pour the milk over the sweetened espresso.
For an iced latte: Fill a tall glass with ice, add the cold milk, then pour the espresso mixed with toasted marshmallow syrup over the top. Stir before serving.
Garnish with a toasted marshmallow and serve immediately.
- For a stronger drink, add an extra shot of espresso.
- Whole milk and 2% milk both work well. For a dairy-free option, oat milk provides a creamy texture and mild flavor.
- Adjust the toasted marshmallow syrup to taste. Start with one tablespoon for a lightly sweet latte or increase to three tablespoons for a sweeter coffee shop-style drink.
- To make a s’mores latte, add one tablespoon of chocolate sauce to the espresso and finish the drink with whipped cream or toasted marshmallow cold foam and graham cracker crumbs.
