- 2 shots espresso
- 1 tbsp toasted marshmallow syrup
- 1 tbsp chocolate sauce
- ¾ cup milk
- ice for the iced mocha
- whipped cream for topping
- crushed graham crackers for topping
- mini marshmallows for topping, optional
- chocolate sauce for topping, optional
Brew two shots of espresso straight into your glass.
Add the toasted marshmallow syrup and chocolate sauce to the hot espresso. Stir thoroughly until the chocolate sauce has completely dissolved into the espresso and the mixture is smooth.
For a hot mocha: Heat the milk in a small saucepan over medium-low heat until steaming but not boiling. Alternatively, heat it in the microwave. Froth the warm milk with a handheld frother, electric frother, steam wand, or French press, if desired. Slowly pour the warm milk into the flavored espresso mixture.
For an iced mocha: Add ice and cold milk over the espresso mixture.
Stir gently, then taste and add a little more toasted marshmallow syrup if you prefer a sweeter or stronger marshmallow flavor.
Top with whipped cream, chocolate drizzle, mini marshmallows, and a light sprinkle of graham cracker crumbs.
Serve immediately.
- One shot of espresso can be used for a milder coffee flavor.
- If using strong brewed coffee instead of espresso, use approximately ⅓ cup so the drink doesn’t become too diluted.
- Oat milk is a good dairy-free option because of its creamy texture.
- Adjust the amount of syrup based on its sweetness and concentration.
