- 1½ tsp matcha powder
- 2 tbsp hot water (not boiling—about 175°F or 80°C)
- ¾ cup milk of chlice
- 1½ tbsp raspberry syrup adjsut to taste
- ice
Raspberry Syrup
- ½ cup raspberries fresh or frozen
- ½ cup water
- ¼ cup sugar
Make the Raspberry Syrup
In a small saucepan, combine raspberries, water, and sugar. Bring to a simmer, stirring until sugar dissolves. Simmer for 5–7 minutes.
Strain through a fine mesh sieve and cool completely.
Assemble the Drink
Add ice to a tall glass.
Pour in raspberry syrup, then milk.
Slowly pour the matcha over the top.
Stir if desired and enjoy immediately.
- Adjust the syrup to taste depending on how sweet you like it.
- For a dairy-free version, oat, almond, or soy milk all work well.
