- ¼ cup hot water not boiling
- 1-2 tbsp hazelnut syrup
- ¾ cup milk
- ice optional, for iced version
- ¼ tsp vanilla extract optional
Sift the matcha powder into a small bowl or mug to remove clumps.
Pour hot water over the matcha.
Whisk in a zigzag motion until smooth and lightly foamy.
Heat or froth the milk if making a hot latte. Keep cold for iced.
Stir hazelnut syrup into the matcha mixture.
Add vanilla extract if using.
Pour matcha into the milk.
Add ice if making the iced version.
Taste and adjust the sweetness or milk as needed. Serve immediately.
